On July 31, GKII in collaboration with the Johns Hopkins Center for Communication Programs (CCP) and the Center for Communication and Change–India (CCC–I), conducted a workshop at the National Institute of Health and Family Welfare (NIHFW).

Rose Pollard Kaptchuk, Sunil Kumar and Sumati Murli Research Fellow, is working to improve healthcare access for transgender and gender diverse communities in India. Her research examines how person-centered care models can be integrated with HIV services to address systemic mistreatment and health inequities.   

André Nogueira, PhD, Assistant Professor at the Johns Hopkins School of Nursing and a systems designer, is committed to advancing equity and sustainability through interdisciplinary design research.

Purvi Patel, a Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health (BSPH) alum and Senior Consultant at India’s National Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) shares how her career at the intersection of science, systems thinking, and service has evolved.

In collaboration with YRGCARE, GKII recently convened core project teams in Chennai for a two-day planning and preparatory workshop for the upcoming TB Free Schools Initiative. The initiative focuses on identifying, treating, and preventing tuberculosis among school-going children across four implementation sites.
